Garlic Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

Serves 4-6 people | Cook Time Approx. 45 mins

INGREDIENTS 

• 3 pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered

• 2 teaspoons of Kosher salt

• Livia’s Seasoning Salt

• ½ cup of buttermilk

• ½ cup of heavy cream

• 2 tablespoons of butter

PREPARATION

Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold water.  Add 2 teaspoons of kosher salt to the water and bring to a boil.  Reduce the heat to medium and boil the potatoes for about 15 minutes or until you can pierce with a fork. Drain the potatoes and return to the pan.

While the potatoes are boiling, combine buttermilk, cream and butter in a small saucepan and warm over medium-low heat until the butter is melted.  Add 3-4 shakes of Livia’s and stir to combine.  

Mash the potatoes and add the warm buttermilk mixture.  Stir vigorously to combine.  Taste and add more Livia’s to preference.
